General Comments

I bought my 52 plate Land Rover Freelander in August this year. It had done 25k. So far I have put petrol in it. It is the most comfortable vehicle I have ever driven. Bear in mind that I live in the country and so drive on A and B roads. I have never driven it on the motorway. I am also a farmer and I drive round the sheep every morning. It will go places on grass that my Defender didn't, and that's on road tyres. I wouldn't try it in mud due to the ground clearance, but it wasn't designed for that. The interior design is well thought out with lots of useful storage and flat surfaces. The seats fold down better than anything I have come across.

Downsides? Yes, the radio is rubbish. Sometimes loud, sometimes quiet. The heating and air con are poor. The rear window can be a pain, but if you only lower it once it stays. Tip: don't lower it :-)
I have read many disparaging reviews with all sorts of horror stories, and I'm sure they are true. However, I can only tell my own story, and I love it and am considering a TD4 Auto next year. Better go read those reviews :-)
