3CCD, removable lenses (bayonet), HI-FI sound with Dolby Noise Reduce, 1.5" EVF, XLR jacks
Built in S-VHS VTR
I bought Panasonic DP800HEG for 3500NIS (800$).
It is high-grade video camera with built in VTR.
My camera is equipped with Fujinon X14 zoom fast lens. The lens is very sharp, provides excellent colours and it is very fast: 1.4.
Camera gives output resolution of 750 horizontal TV lines.
It equipped with 3 CCD 450K pixel sensors of 1/2".
Camera has great range of shutter speeds: 1/60-1/8000, and it has synchro shutter mode that lets filming from TV screen without flickering.
In addition it has Super Iris mode, back light compensation, AGS and more.
Camera has built-in S-VHS VTR with real good capabilities, but it's analog. It has XLR audio inputs, sound level amplifier, AGC and Dolby Noise Reduce.
It's great solution to record directly from this camera to digital VTR such as DVD Recorder; it will give maximal quality for minimal price. It's very inexpensive camera for such features.
In 1996 the price was about 11,000$ for this camera, and today for 800$ you still can buy camera that is suitable for professional works in right hands. All depends on type of VTR that you connect to.
This camera was beloved one for many wedding photographers about 5 years ago.
