Bad Points

[1]Possibly start up time, but it's ready to shoot pictures from clicking it to on and lifting to eye level at normal hand speed.
[2] Possibly the lack of image stabilisation but there's a question mark on this as your going to pay £100 extra for something with it included then you don't get the extras like charger bag, remote,so this cost is more really

General Comments

I got my Olympus C-770 Ultra Zoom from Amazon for £178 including postage.
This was including a bag [not up to much but better than nothing] a remote control, a battry charger, lens cap [some don't supply this believe it or not] a 16 meg card [silver camera , black gets 32meg for some reason]. A good sturdy strap, all cables for connection to tv or computer manual ,Olympus Comedia Master for down/uploading your pictures and editing them and video seven for editing your videos.
All I have had to buy is a larger card [512mb as I take a lot of video footage], and a more sturdy bag that would also fit extras [bag supplied just fits camera].
I also bought an £8 single XP card reader as I don't really like connecting the camera up to the computer, this card reader actually comes in handy for carrying the 512mb card when the 32mb card is installed in the camera ,and comes in handy for quick transfer of files also.
The camera itself is brilliant 10x zoom on hq or normal settings and 13x on lower quality
Theres also a 4x digital zoom although I don't use that [have had no need to].
Macro mode and super macro mode are both useful if you're into taking pictures up close [spiders ,flowers ]
Image quality is brilliant with great colour and detail, there are options to adjust most settings if you want to.
There are 2 seperate flashes for diffrent conditions and there's a hot shoe if you want more.
There's an easy to follow layout makes things easy for beginners,
4.3mp is ample for most and I get very good A4 size prints [in fact I'm finding that with the amount of pictures I'm taking I'm having to reduce file size so more than the 4.3mp would be a waste.
Video quality is very good and you have sound also, you can't zoom in or out while videoing unless you disable sound though.
Another thing I like is the ability to put a little sound track after each picture saying were and when. If you're in the market for a 10x zoom camera this has to be on your list.
Ok for the disadvantage of the c770uz = no image stabilisation ,but I can honestly say that up to now no more than 2% of my pictures have been spoilt becuse of camera shake, I have not used a tripod as yet so that amount could drop.
