General Comments

I have just bought an Anics Skif A3000 CO2 pistol, and the instructions are not explained on how to exactly fire it.
How do I use the single action mode?

How do I use the automatic action mode?

Do I have to cock the lever at the back to fire it?

Are the slide and cock at the back just for show?

Any operating instructions on how to use this pistol would be much appreciated, as the leaflet I got with the pistol does not explain this at all.

Single Action (SA) means that you cock the hammer (pull it back) that than pull the trigger to fire.
Double Action (DA) means that you simply pull the trigger (it would be heavier)
Now to fire in SA mode you can either pull the trigger with your thumb, or pull the slide back and will cock the hammer for you.

When I had the gun I was shooting it SA mode 99% of the time, DA trigger is waaay to heavy on that gun.

Hi there, Just to let you know not to try to cock the hammer or pull back the top slide. The skif is a fully automatic pistol which does everything for you. You simply Load and pull the trigger. Tips. Use a different finger to pull the trigger, preferably the strongest finger on your hand possible.

I am puzzled by a couple of things here.

Why would someone who seems to have not the slightest idea about guns actually buy one and how can they possibly give it a score if they haven't fired it??

Skif is NOT fully automatic, it is double action/ single action pistol (DA/SA). Fully auto means you pull the trigger once and it fires a a number of shots (like a machine gun).

Also the trigger in Double action is pretty bad, so it's a good idea to cock the hammer first (shoot in SA mode). If you want shot in Double Action DON'T use your middle finger! that is just a bad practice. Either use Single action mode or get a gun that actually fits you.

Hi yes i agree entirely, the Double action is pretty bad and you have to put too much pressure on the trigger to fire it like this, which in turn makes it less accurate, so it is a good idea to cock the hammer first (shoot in SA mode). I think this is the best way off firing this pistol

hi there, ok - single action mode: Pull the top slide back then forward. You will notice topslide in locked back position and the trigger is also locked right back ready to fire. You don't need to touch the hammer at the back, just press trigger. Its a lot easier and lighter to pull the trigger in this 'single action' mode and your accuracy will improve aswell. Also a few other points, I have 2 skifs now. I have found that if you lightly lubricate the inside rotart system of the magazine this helps the mag move easier and not stiffly as normal, also prevents jamming. I only use walther brass co2 capsules, they are best. I only use high quality flat headed/wadcutter pellets in my skiffs. i find that they dont move or jam the magazine, and fire much better than any other type of pellet.

    good luck

    chunks:)
