Good Points

Great pick-up. Great beater brushes to renew carpets and loosen dirt. Strong suction. The vacuum head is a good size for doing stairs easily.


Bad Points

Belt is VERY difficult to change and wears out frequently due to high speed of brushes. I vacuum daily and need to change the belt about every 3 months.


General Comments

I was surprised to read the poor reviews of the Oreck cleaner. Other than the belt being difficult to change, I absolutely love it. I have 2 teenagers, 2 large HAIRY dogs (German Shepard & Border Collie), and a messy husband ... the Oreck has been wonderful and easy on my bad back. The separate canister is also very convenient when 2 of us are cleaning at the same time (which, fortunately, is often). I would recommend the Oreck to anyone who wants clean carpets without breaking their back!!
