If you have VERY, VERY thick hair, particularly that is wavy or curly, you will have to go layer by layer, preferably small groups of hair at a time. If you have hair like that, it may take a long time to get it straighr due to the fact that the heat levels aren't extremely hot. If you take your time though, you WILL be satisfied with the results.

The Vidal Sassoon VS182 Ceramic Flat Iron is a very excellent straightener! It takes only about 1 minute to heat up (2 minutes if you want better results). It wont damage hair from heat as quickly because of the ceramic plates. It's not really all that expensive, either. It only costs about $20.00-$25.00 (depending on where you get it from). It gives your hair alot of shine, and makes it feel silky and smooth! This hair straightener lasts a LONG time! I've had mine for over a year! The heat power is still high, the ceramic plates haven't broken, the ceramic coating hasn't chipped off, and my hair hasn't been damaged from the heat!
