You think the things you take with you are covered.
Too many clauses and misleading policy wording. Not in plain English. The policy wording leads you to believe cover is provided in some parts, but then in other parts it excludes it.
You would expect a camcorder to be covered for theft whilst you are on holiday wouldn't you? If you leave them in a locked car, and even out of sight they are not covered with the Post Office Travel Insurance. There is in fact no cover under the policy for valuables unless they are carried by you, or locked in the hotel room safe. Valuables are amongst some of the personal items that you might take with you on holiday, such as a Camera, camcorder, watch, binoculars, and radio etc. So, once you remove them from your room safe you have to carry them with you at all times. Don't lock them in the car boot while you go for a meal, as they won't be covered.
