General Comments

To Phil Bulmer, Regarding the strip down of a Cometa Indian - Airgun World article - August 2005 issue.
The correct procedure is somewhat different.
1. Remove cocking lever and gear drive pin. Remove plastic fore end.
2. Remove casting from cylinder i.e fore and aft hex bolts, and remove drive gear from underneath cylinder. The rear stud and barrel mountings block need not be removed for any purpose. The barrel is only removed for replacement of rear plastic slider.
3. The plastic cylinder closure at the front is retained by the STUD? (captive nut) which is then tapped into the plastic cylinder closure. Removing the front retaining pin will allow the plastic enclosure to slide forward, as will spring and piston etc. Clean and lube with quality gun oil. Webley oil is excellent, definitely NO GREASE. Replace springs and seal if worn or damaged.
