Good Points
Lots of features, excellent sound quality, line-in facility
Bad Points
Battery life maybe not quite as good as specs say.
General Comments
The iRiver H320 is a lovely unit. So many people seem to go for the ipod for style rather than functionality, and really this model wins hands down.
I have read reviews that say that the H320 is complicated to use. Is it heck! I am no computer expert but this took very little effort to use. It uses the method I like the best. Copy music onto your computer via WM. Then drag and drop the music onto the player. Dead simple even for a novice like me.
The file tree search facility is very easy to use and does not take ages like several reviewers have said. I love just putting the unit into shuffle mode and then seeing what it chooses for me to listen to.
I stated battery life as a bad point. I have to say I have only charged the battery twice, so it's optimum condition may not have been reached yet. However I am very confused about what is the best way to charge it; from flat every time or regular half charges. There seem to be lots of differing opinions, and as it is fixed in the unit and I am not confident to change it myself (it is possible), I want to make sure I get the best life out of it.
Definitely worth getting if you can find one!

I forgot to mention in my original review the most important feature; the sound quality. It's excellent.

<br>My music is encoded as WMA at 128kbps and even at the normal sound setting (there are quite a lot of sound settings), the music sounds superb. Good sounding bass and everything very clear.
