Cramped, dirty rooms, surly staff
General Comments
We were a family of two adults, one teenager and a child, paying for three adults and one child. We were allocated a small room at the San Pawl Hotel in Malta, with four narrow single beds side by side, with maybe 4 or 5 inches in between each one. There was barely enough room to walk in the door, and no room to store our cases. There was also insufficient storage space for clothes. The room was dirty and our feet stuck to the two rugs on the floor. There was a strong smell of mildew, and the bathroom was awful.
We were offered a sea view when we booked! The only way to get a sea view at this hotel is to stand on the roof with a periscope.
The food was very disappointing, and no Maltese dishes were on offer all week.
