Good Points ??????? Ha Ha Ha
I am an international student , went to Halifax to open a student account. First, they refused to accept the recommendation letter from my university, UWIC; which all the other banks accept. They asked for any other bank statement or any bills in my name. I submitted the bills and all the documents, went to the bank 3 times and finally they processed my application. After few days I received a letter stating that they cannot offer me a student account as I have not passed a credit check. Now, tell me how an international student who has come for the first time to UK, can pass a credit check? This people are silly and are loosing business. Some of my friends went to other banks like HSBC, Natwest, Lloyds TSB etc and opened acccount, hassle free and in a weeks time. These people are horrible and I would not recommend Halifax to anyone.
