General Comments

Sand Club Apartments in Tenerife are the worst I have ever come across. It was clean enough, but equipment was severely lacking. i.e. Kitchen utensils consisted of a frying pan and small pot, and that was it! No kettle and no toaster - Zilch! As for Golf Del Sur, it is like a ghost town, and considering the volume of apartments here, you very seldom see any more than 4 people walking about. Where does everyone go? Also there is no beach. It is surrounded by rock so no good for kids. So if you are considering a trip to Tenerife, go to Los Cristianos, it has it all... better apartments, great beach, and great restaurants.

I have been to the Sandclub twice. The second time Nov 05. I think I was on a different holiday to Ian and am sorry he did not enjoy it. Yes the complex was quiet, but a least we did not have to get in a queue for a sunbed around the pool at 8.30 in the morning, like some complex's in Los Christanos we have stayed at. The local area was not quiet - well in terms of people walking about (it is not rowdy nor has it drunken english teenagers fighting & throwing up), but again it depends on the time of day. We have been in the capital Santa Cruz in the afternoon in July and found it deserted - it was siesta time and we had forgotten the phrase "mad dogs & englishmen go out in the midday sun".
Yes there is no adjacent beach you have to drive to them. But having stayed in Los Christanos and Las Americas and having to walk 20 minutes to get to the beach, be charged for a bed and then drag some tired grand children back to the apartment to change to go out again, then spending the rest of the week by the pool - see above - the beach lost its attraction.
My comparision it is more Scarborough than Blackpool.
