Good Points

One of Koontzs' earlier books, and by far one of his best. It really does get you thinking.

Bad Points

None!!

General Comments

Phantoms is a great book for making you think a little bit more about all the mysterious disappearances that have happened in history such as the Mary Celeste and many more.

The story is based in a small town in the mountains in America, and the doctor has returned to her home with her sister to find that everyone in the town has either vanished or has been murdered. She calls in the police from the nearby town, and this then progresses into the story of what has happened to all of the town's people.

I don't want to spoil anything by giving away the story line, but it is a gripping story which keeps you on the edge of your seat right to the end, and although the story is fictional, it does draw on the real events of disappearances throughout our history.

A must have read, if you enjoy gripping edge of the seat stuff. Highly recommended.
