General Comments

Sitting among the trees in the rain forest on Mt. Scenery is the Ecolodge Rendez-Vous Hotel. Constructed from recycled materials, using solar power, surrounded by tree frogs and crickets is the Ecolodge, a family owned and operated collection of small cottages. Comfortable beds, simple furniture, no TV or phones, but having a hammock on the porch makes this a perfect place for the conservation minded traveler. Tom van't Hof, having left his career in conservation and the establishment of marine parks, is the friendly innkeeper. Heleen Cornet, a great artist on Saba decorated the cottages and restaurant with rain forest paintings. Bernt, the best chef on the island, and his wife Dana make sure that all the guests are served and comfortable in the restaurant. Be sure to try the Red Curry Shrimp while you are there!
