Bad Points

Ergonomics, but can easily be corrected
Safety is a bit awkward

General Comments

I own both the 12 inch and the 18 inch barrel version of the Talon. Both versions will give you pinpoint accuracy out to 30 or so yards and good hunting accuracy to 50 yards and beyond. Others have gotten very good results out to 100 yards with a 24 or 26 inch barrel.

If you are planning to get one, start out with the SS, as the frame is longer and will better accomodate a longer barrel, if you choose to get one. Keep in mind that the shroud feature will be useless if you get the longer barrel.
I have my Talon SS w/ 18 inch barrel modified a bit. I put a Condor hammer weight in it and can now set the power level to 0 and get over 950fps out of 14.3gr Premiers. The Talon SS with 12 inch barrel and no mods gets around 820fps with the same pellets on power level 6.
Accessories are abundant for this gun, both from AirForce and from others. The Morgan adjustable butt pad will fit nicely on the back of the Talon tank and, in conjunction with high mounts, really improve the ergonomics of this fine rifle.
Other common accessories include lasers, lights, night vision, and aftermarket grips.

The 490cc tank will give plenty of useable shots per fill. With my modified Talon 18, I can get 35 shots over 900fps with Premiers. Beyond that, the velocity does start to drop a bit. My Talon 12 unmodified gets over 50 shots above 750fps with the same pellets.

The best pellets for these guns seem to be Premiers, JSB exacts, JSB predators, and Kodiaks.

The low price point and ability to customize this rifle makes it a good choice to get started in the world of PCP airguns.
