Good Points

Handles very well. Good willing engine that loves to rev, surges from 4,000 all way upto 7,000 then tails off a bit to red line at almost 8,000rpm. Very good on fuel when driven with a light right foot, (I can get between 35 & 40mpg when in the mood) Very rewarding drive. Build quality of interior as good as I have seen on BMW and Audi, far better than Vauxhall and French cars.

Bad Points

Suspension bushes and shocks give up after about 40,000 miles. Auxillary belt tensioner gave up after 50,000 miles (£90 just for part, ouch) can be thirsty if you give it some pasty (but its very hard not to as its a rewarding drive).

General Comments

The Ford Mondeo is such a rewarding car to drive. It's very stylish interior is a pleasure to sit in and is very well made. It out handles anything in it's class plus other cars that are supossed to be above it. (It went round top gears test track 2 seconds quicker than a BMW 320i and 5 seconds quicker that the rest of the cars this size)
It has a huge boot, I do a lot of DIY and you can get 3 Meter packs of coving etc in and shut the boot.
I have had a few thing go wrong like the suspension and belt tensioner giving up also leak in boot but this has not put me off. This is such a great car.
