Good Points

Plays DVD-R, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3, VCD. Multiregional


Bad Points

Remote range rubbish, a bit noisy when loading discs.


General Comments

Bought this Acoustic Solutions 651 DVD player from Richer Sounds for £119 to replace a Samsung 709. Was impressed at first, but recently it has been stopping for approx 3-5 seconds when playing films. Can't be the layer change as it is happening all over the place. Will take it back if it keeps doing it.

    My Acoustic Solutions 551 did exactly the same, pausing for no reason. Check the display, the 551 kept reseting to 0:00 and this caused the pause. I took it back to Richer Sounds and they exchanged my 551 for a 651 - 551 had been discontinued. Unfortunately I think the 551 had a better picture.
