Good Points

Friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble, and we only had to ask and it was sorted out. Clean room.


Bad Points

The pool was very small.


General Comments

We are 3 nurses who wanted a cheap holiday. On reading the reviews after we had booked to stay at the Esmeralda Apartments in Cambrils, we were surprised not horrified by the Esmeralda apartments. They were basic, but that's what we asked for, as we only wanted a place to sleep. It was clean, and the staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was to much trouble. From bus times to places of interest, even the best places to eat. Entertainment at night was fine, and seemed to cater for everybody including children. The beach was only a minute away, so we didn't use the pool. There were plenty of cheap places to eat. We were frequent visitors to the Molly Malones pub, which offered excellent food, and good beer. Recommended by us - you have to try it. The bus stop was just across the road, and for a few Euros you could travel to most of Costa Dorada. Well worth doing. The supermarket was a minute down the road, with most items you may need. We got our water from there as it was half the price than getting it from the apartments.

All in all, excellent! We are going back next year. We had a fantastic time and have no worries about booking it. The only problem was that the kitchens were tiny, so we would say eat out. It's cheap enough. Don't expect a palace, just somewhere to sleep that's clean and safe. The rooms are cleaned twice a week, and if you put your towels out they're changed. What more can you ask for? Enjoy your holiday. We have and will again next year.
