I've had the Hayley Westenra Odyssey record for just over a week now and I can honestly say that it hasn't been off my stereo. It is a truly wonderful record that highlights the maturing Hayley Westenra. Hayley has definitely grown up since her last album, and this album marks that change. Her voice is still as wonderful as ever and the style is essentially the same, but just the general feel of this record is that she has moved on a bit and is fast becoming a young woman. This change helps immensely, as there are some exquisite love songs that sound just beautiful when sung by Hayley, notably What You Never Know, Both Sides Now and Never Saw Blue. This album contains a mix of Classical tracks and more modern numbers, all of which sound great. Personally I prefer the more modern tracks, but it is really nice to have this mix, and the tracks all work really well together. I would really recommend this record to anyone who loves great music, wonderful songs, beautiful delivery, and a truly outstanding voice.
