The R-7 is a classic. Great Trigger, great accuracy, nice build quality.
Bad Points
Too muzzle light
General Comments
I got my R-7 about 6 months ago. And i was impressed with the shooting manners from the first shot. However the rifle is very muzzle light and makes off hand shooting somewhat disappointing, considering the accuracy that is available. So I installed a Apex muzzle brake (similar) to a crow mag brake, this added just the right amount of weight to steady the off hand hold. I then added a JM tune kit which smoothed up everything even more. The final result is a fantastic, light weight, super accurate sportier. For pests even at 35yrds are in big trouble with a rest. The balance is now perfect the little rifle is alive in the hands and as responsive as a conductors baton. The mods i did only added 90.00 bucks to the cost. I now find myself shooting the R-7 much more than any other rifle i own, and i plan on shooting a FT match with it this spring just for fun.
