I purchased the Philips DVD-R610 model after two failed attempts at purchasing dvdr,s Bought a Pye and returned it within a week given another one and that to went back post haste .I finally decided to look at the 610 .It has been a nightmare to say the least .It is like this machine has a mind of its own. Starting up by its self, changing channels and of course the clock.D on't mention that clock. Goes fast one minute and runs slow the next. Rang Philips here in Ireland and was basically told to hop it. Will be going back to the shop and getting rid of this donkey. As other people have said it is a very poor reflection on such a big company like Philips to be selling substandard goods.
