General Comments
Christine by Stephen King is about a possessed horror vehicle with a haunted past. Arnie Cunningham was in his best friend's, Dennis Guilders, car when he spotted an old beat up '58 Plymouth Fury in the driveway of George Lebay. Arnie falls in love with it instantly. He buys the car from a man named Roland LeBay. Afterwards, normally geeky pizza-faced Arnie becomes a handsome guy.
Arnie gets a girlfriend, Leigh Cabot, new to Libertyville High. Leigh distrusts Christine immediately once she almost chokes to death in the car.
Buddy Repperton, Arnie's bully, and a few others, wreck up Christine. While this happens Dennis Guilder breaks his leg, yet once he gets out of the hospital, he learns that Buddy and his gang were murdered brutally with sites of gasoline, and tyre tracks near the crime scene. Arnie is the main subject.
Arnie starts to develop an attitude towards his parents, his friends, and his boss. He also develops a crazed obsession with Christine. Soon Dennis and Leigh learn that the restless ghost of Roland LeBay is still haunting Christine, and is possessing Arnie, and they try to stop it. Arnie's loved ones will know what happens when you mess with his Christine.
Stephen King's tale about a car with a restless ghost, is a great tale. Some parts in the book are very scary, but most of it has a great storyline. During the book you'll learn to live with the Characters and feel their pain, joy, and sorrow. An awesome book for any King fan.
