It's hard to find a good point. Well at least when it records and plays back, the picture quality is/was good.
Too many to list. The main point for me has been the failure to playback recorded disc's.
We had a bad start with our first Philips DVD-R610 DVD recorder, as it didn't work at all, and had to be replaced. The replacement had various faults, one being that it would switch itself off from recording after approx. 15 minutes. A software update did solve this, though after several missed programmes. Then things went gradually downhill. The majority of disc's will no longer play, and you get a message "Disc Error". The Video Plus timer has a mind of its own. The DVD player switches itself on and off, sometimes cancelling the timer. The menu cannot be accessed. In all honesty, our machine is useless. The store we purchased it from couldn't care less, and we are constantly offered repairs which don't seem to help at all.
