I went into Moss Bros in Ashford Kent, and whilst trying on a dinner suit advertised at £179.00, the young assistant came to the changing rooms and advised me that the good news was that it was now £120.00 and also included a free shirt and bow tie. As they didn't have the trousers in my size, and said they could get a pair from another branch, I paid the £120.00 and took the jacket with me. When collecting the trousers the following week, I was told there was an additional £59.00 to pay, and when I explained that I had been told the price was £120.00 the assistant manager became quite abusive. She all but called me a liar, and said that she could ask me to leave the shop and not discuss the matter any more. I wrote an email of complaint to the 'Customer Care' (wrongly described in this instance) and got no better from them, even though one assistant had admitted that the young man who served us hadn't been with them for long and must have got it wrong. I have exchanged a few emails with this 'lady' from 'Customer Care' and at no time has she actually replied to my complaint, just skirted around everything, and basically has refused to honour the sale.
