Easy to use DVD creation with lots of templates and library files. Realtime preview (if your PC is over 2GHz).
For an expensive software package, the slideshow functionality is extremely unreliable.
I've used Ulead DVD Workshop 1 for a few years now, and when the DVD Workshop 2 upgrade became available I bought it expecting great things. There are some improvements, e.g. lots more library files and templates, better user interface, realtime preview, improved menu creation and functionality, and dual layer DVD support.
On the down side, the slideshow functionality is rubbish. It can't produce reliable slideshows, and some images, if not exactly the correct compression standard, cause multiple images to be displayed when played back from DVD.
Cheaper and free software can handle any image type in any compression standard with no problems.
After contacting Ulead, they eventually admitted that their software is not capable of handling all of its quoted image formats in all of their compression types.
