Good Points

None - The worst airport and flight experience ever.


Bad Points

Flight cancelled, assigned flight one hour later going to a different airport, then out in taxi to correct airport. Airline knew of disruption in advance and made no attempt to contact us to offer an alternative. On return flight to London City, had very long check in at Brussels, but got through 30 minutes before flight departure. Went to gate which took 20 minutes and were told we could not board flight. We were told it would cost 200 euros per person to get a flight the next day.


General Comments

VLM Airlines are one of the worst airlines I have ever flown with. The on-board sandwich was stale, and we were told that as the flight we were booked on had been cancelled by the airline, they did not have any other refreshments for us. After standing in an airport for a very long time - unacceptable. Especially considering on arrival, we then had to get on a bus to be driven to the airport we were supposed to arrive at. Delays were terrible, and staff made no apologies for it. We were offered no alternatives.

The return journey was even worse - check in was very long, but we were through 30 minutes before flight departure. We were told boarding should be soon. Went to the gate and arrived ten minutes before flight departure to be told we had missed the flight. Offered no compensation and told we would have to pay 200 Euros each for a flight the next day. This airline ruined a holiday for us.
