Inexpensive, Reasonably Accurate, Fun to Shoot.
Lousy Cetme Steel Magazines.
I purchased my Cetme Sporter from SOG. I must have got an exceptionally good rifle since the only problem I have had has been a failure to feed that I eventually discovered was due to the absolutely pathetic steel magazines fit and function. I found that my Cetme works exceptionally well with the HK mags and I have had absolutely no problems with feeding extraction or any other function since changing over (the aluminum mags needed some slight deburring/polishing to fit my magwell properly). I have shot this rifle repeatedly at my local shooting range and have no problem hitting the 100, 200 and 300 meter steel plates off-hand with the factory iron sights. I actually prefer this rifle to my FAL and would rely on it under any circumstances. I changed out the plastic to some wood furniture and really enjoy the solid feel and extra heft that they provide. Also looks great!
