Good Points

Professional looking website. Very cheap prices.


Bad Points

Very poor customer service - no 'official' phone numbers, only fax and email. Emails are very rarely replied to. Immediate charging of credit card. Quite often long delays on stock.


General Comments

I placed an order on the 18th August 2005 for a Canon 350D, when placed Internet Cameras Direct's stock levels indicated they would have it in stock within the next few days. The order was dealt with promptly, with the money taken out of my account soon after. After a few days I didn't notice any change in the status, so I emailed them to get an update. I recieved a reply about a hour later indicating that as a result of stock delays they have cancelled the order and to expect a refund in 3-4 working days.

A month later, several emails, numerous phone calls, no change. Internet Direct no longer support telephone orders - only email and fax, I also dug up some old numbers from other sites. Two of them seem to be always engaged, the other I got through once but once I asked if it was them they said no and once questioned further hesitantly replied that they were the University of Sunderland. The only replies I get to emails since they said they had cancelled it are the automatic confirmations or out-of-office replies. In the end I contacted my bank and they are hopefully issuing a 'non reciept of goods refund'.

0870 756 4120 (University of Sunderland??)

Someone else posted on here the MD's number...I shall try that...

A number of other sites have similar reviews to this - look at Kelkoo. Never order from this company.
