I really cannot provide any following my latest experience.
Buying on-line is useless if you do not get an accurate inspection, in my opinion.
I am so disappointed with my latest dealings with Trade Sales. I bought at a good price three years ago and all went well. This time I purchased a Ford Focus on-line and the salesman walked around the car saying he was going to be brutal with his inspection. As I had a long journey I hoped he would be honest.
A paid for flight down to London and go on the train to collect the car. I had a very quick look round the car. I suppose I was dreading seeing something so I didn't look too hard in fear of a wasted trip. When filling up on the way home noticed a very large dent on the car and a very scuffed alloy centre cap. The dent looked as though someone had put the jack in the wrong place when fixing the damaged wheel as I later noticed that the spare was used. Unusual for a car of only 2000 miles.
I specifically said to the salesman please don't make me waste a long journey.
I contacted Trade Sales who inferred that I must have done the damage and that they would not contribute to the repair and that the honest salesman is sure that he would have seen it.
I have been completely put off all internet car sales and in particular Trade Sales. I would not recommend them at all. Go somewhere local even if you pay a bit more - it really is worth it.
I have removed all reference to Trade Sales from my car and have read other similar complaints with interest. Please be very aware.
