Good Points
Well if you are a young blonde in her 20's, slim and reasonably attractive, you'll do well on this site, and you will be swamped with so many responses you won't know how to handle it.
Bad Points
If you are a woman over 35, forget it. Even men in their 60's won't give you the time of day! And if you're African American, don't waste your time or your money. You'll be completely ignored.
General Comments
These comments are based on my experiences on the Christian Cafe Dating site, the experiences of friends and some experiments we conducted on the site. We posted our own profiles, pictures with wigs, and experimented with changing our age on the site.
We repeated these experiments a number of times, and the results were consistent:
- Young blonde women had their mailboxes full within 48 hours, and were flooded with instant messages.
- Women over 35 hardly got any responses - sometimes, all that it took was changing the age on a profile to see a dramatic drop off in response.
- Also, when a photo of the same women were posted with wigs (long hair, blonde), the men who had insulted them the day before were suddenly contacting them asking for dates.
- African American women were ignored.
These results are probably not a reflection of the site, but the values in the Christian community that it serves. I would say save your money unless you are young, blonde and attractive, but then you probably wouldn't need to use an internet dating service.
