General Comments
Had the Mustek DVD R100A for 15 months. From the beginning it seemed to be very choosy about which discs it would record onto. I threw loads away and spent a fortune on premium discs. The problem got worse and worse until after 10 months it would not record on anything; it just froze when I put a disc in it and often the tray would not open. Got it fixed under guarantee (Curry's - took weeks). When it came back I found it would record onto discs that it previously wouldn't - so I assume it was dodgy since I had it.
Now after had it back for a few months it's freezing again. It's useless.
I'm chucking it, out of sheer frustration.

I wish I would have seen this review a long time ago before I bought the Mustek DVD R100A DVD recorder. My intention was to save on DVD Treasured Memories. It is one thing to buy a terrible machine, but for it to destroy and lose Treasured Memories which I cannot get back; that is criminal!! Mustek and companies like them should realize the true intended use of their products. A product that people will use to save their wedding videos and baby births etc.. will be devastated when the machine malfunctions and destroys what cannot be replaced.
