Overall... very well put together.
Repeated cinematics and Americanized dialogue.
Way of the samurai 2 for the PS2 is a different game. It is entertaining because of many things. First of all, you have a fixed time period in the province of Amahara, and have to start over all the time. This allows you to reinvent yourself. The storyline is interesting and also elaborate. I like the interactivity in the streets. There are many ways to play it. You can be a magistrate, gangbanger, or a man of the people. It is great that there is a choice... I especially like the swords one can obtain, and the fact that you have to practice it's moves to learn more techniques. The fighting is nicely put together. The blood-level is suitable, and the bodies don't disappear magically. I find the cinematics to be annoying however, once you have completed the game, you cannot escape some sequences. This doesn't destroy the game though. One could also crave a few more character-skins and outfits, as well as a way of detailed editing of appearance. Amahara is an exciting place, leading your attention away from the repeat of the missions and such. You can get more game modes and titles as you complete the game differently. Also the stats can show you detailed info on your kills and such.
