Good Points

Good staff & service, clean environment.


Bad Points

Very expensive & overpriced for what is average canteen food, instant mashed spuds, very little 'actually prepared' on the premises real food.


General Comments

Called in for an evening meal, nice place (Stanley Gate, Bickerstaffe, Lancs) friendly efficient staff & menu look promising (if a bit expensive) Prawn salad ok, Lamb kofte-typical Iceland frozen product. Chicken & Ham pie 'Homemade' tinned product in a dish with a crust stuck on top & duck strawberry 'chef special' more like a poor duck stew. At these prices I expect the food to be prepared from raw & cooked as ordered, not re-heated frozen,tinned/boil in the bag stuff. Very disappointing for the price. (£30 for 2 at around a fiver per head it would have been acceptable. Better off going to a decent Chinese or Indian where they tend to cook to order!
