Good Points

Bad Points

Bad for allergy sufferers - dust flies everywhere when emptied. Have to scrape dust off associated parts, not good for asthma.
Cuts out randomly after about 10 minutes, for no apparent reason. Restarts following day with no attention. Therefore cannot clean whole house in one go.
Blocks frequently, even when extra careful not to vacuum anything other than dust. Blockages are difficult to locate and clear. Have to disassemble some parts to get at blockage. Even harder to reassemble after.
Seems to lose suction after a while.
Very heavy.
Wand does not reach far enough to clean stairs from the bottom, and it seems to be at the wrong angle for satisfactory suction when used from top of stairs.


General Comments

The Dyson DC01 Vacuum cleaner is disappointing for the money. I paid more than twice as much as I would for another brand. I was foolish enough to believe that high cost equals high quality. I found this website, as I have finally given up with the Dyson, and am looking for something else.
