Good Points

Excellent quality and value for money.
A real all-in-one home entertainment system.
Great sound.

Bad Points

All in one does mean if one thing breaks they all go back for repair, but the build quality is so good, I doubt this will happen.

General Comments

I bought the Philips LX3600D DVD Home Cinema System when my old DVD player broke, shortly after my stereo did. Thus I needed to replace the radio, CD and DVD, and I also wanted to conserve space, as I am in a smallish flat.
This fitted the bill and offered great value. AM/FM radio, DVD, MP3, CD, CDR/RW, jpeg, KODAK, 5.1 Dolby, and additional audio inputs, and all for £150! I actually got it at Sainsbury's.

The sound quality is great, and will easily fill a medium sized room. The additional audio inputs have allowed me to feed my Freeview box through it. The Scart socket to the TV is two way, meaning that you can select TV on the DVD player remote, and the TV sound feeds through this system. I watched the Live8 concert through Freeview, and enjoyed the improved sound of this system to boot.

The remote is easy to use, and the system is easy to administer. the MP3, and jpeg CD's run perfectly through it. It's not a multi-region DVD player, but who needs that? My last one was multi-region, and I had it for two years and never bought a non region 2 DVD to use on it.

Great product.
