Good Points

This is an excellent machine with great sound quality, good looks, ease of use, plenty of memory space, good customer support, and it is easy to download music from your PC.

Bad Points

Carrying case is useless. EU volume levels leave it a bit limited, especially if your one of those that likes it LOUD!

General Comments

I originally bought the Creative Zen Touch MP3 player as a replacement for my Sony CD Walkman, and I have never looked back! It claims to have a capacity of around 10,000 songs, although I doubt anyone would ever need that many. It comes preloaded with about 40 classical music tracks just to get your taste buds going! The sound quality is great, and there are plenty of options with the built in graphic equalizer. The controls are easy to use, with a touch control for most of the functions (albeit a little bit sensitive). My main consideration for use is with my car audio unit, which I use with a cassette adaptor (available from Creative Store) as I'm lucky to have one on my CD auto-changer. I generally use it set on shuffle, as I like a good variety of music. Downloading music from my PC is fairly straightforward via the USB cable, and with Creative's software, editing of tracks is simple via the PC. It's a good looking unit and fairly weighty, but it feels solid and strong! The battery life is second to none, with a manufacturers claim of around 24 hours, and I don't doubt it for a minute! It's also great to use with your home music system via an adaptor lead. There is good customer support via Creative's website, where you can also buy any accessories you may need.

The downside is the carrying case, which covers up everything on the control panel, view screen, and all the buttons, making it useless whilst in it! Also I advise you to invest in a decent set of headphones, as the ones supplied are a bit poor.

Apart from that I would recommend it to anyone wanting a large capacity, good value MP3 player, at approx. £180.00. Yes, I would buy another one if the need ever arose!
