Good Points

Stunning aggresive looks, wonderful predictable oversteer, tons of power, great handling.

Bad Points

Leather interior prone to wear, can feel very heavy to drive until you get used to it.

General Comments

Lest forget about handling and performance, the car has both in bucketfulls. What is really important is that you can pick up a respectable example for less than £6k and they are a whole lot scarcer than a 911. As they have been out of production for a while I actually get kids asking me what it is and wanting to look the thing over. It still manages to snap knicker elastic at a fair distance as well (until they find out how much its actually worth of course!). I've had my manual non turbo import (faster than a UK supplied Turbo auto and a lot cheaper to run and insure) for almost three years and recently decided I had to trade up. Despite my longing for a skyline I really wanted a proper flat 2+2 sports and test drove a 348 ferarri (I know, not their best but I had a £30k budget) and a Lotus Esprit V8. Both were faster but neither felt as confident on the road with vague steering on the V8 and poor manners from the 348 during normal driving. Needless to say the 300 remains and I'm looking for a cheap skyline to donate and engine and running gear to install in the 300.
