General Comments

I did my research carefully before choosing to buy the Creative Labs Zen Touch 20GB MP3 player, and I'm glad I did! The player itself is very easy to use. I personally use it every day walking to and from work. Although it says "Do not run or jog" with the player, I have had no problems with it in my pocket on a brisk walk! The sound quality is amazing, especially with good headphones. It doesn't have "Extras" like an iPod (no Solitaire or music quiz), but since these are pretty useless anyway, that's not an issue.

The bundled software, while a little confusing, is not impossible to use. I have a standard (well, sub-standard by now) home PC, and the software runs fine on it. The best thing is to rip Cd's using Windows Media Player, and then copy the tracks onto the Zen with the Creative software. The one negative thing (this isn't a sales pitch, after all) is the included headphones. They are uncomfortable and of poor quality, but since most who own MP3 players own good headphones of their own, this isn't a problem.

There are two main things I was very impressed with. Firstly, it is a 20GB player for £50 less than the same capacity iPod (depending on the supplier). With this player you don't feel like you're paying for a brand name or label. The second thing is the battery capacity. It takes 3-4 hours to fully charge, and once charged will last an average of 24 hours (yes, I did test this) before running out, with normal play.

Overall, I am very impressed with this player. It is sleek, well-designed for easy use, user friendly, and provides many hours of music. The software included is necessary to connect the player to the PC but is not necessary to copy files to it, so there is an option for those who prefer WMP.

As I can't edit my review I'll add to it here - I still have and use this player two years on! It's getting on for two-and-a-half years old now and still going strong. Take that, iPod!
