I have had the Hair Tools straghtners for almost 2 years and they have not started flaking. I recently bought the Babyliss wet to dry straightners and they singed my hair so I took them back to the shop and have bought the same pair as my last ones. I think they are excellent value for money and would recomend them to anyone. The only problem I have was after nearly two years the wire has become loose in them. I think that is because I have left them lying around my bedroom and standing on the wire.
