Good Points
Looks good, given that it's a sports 2+2 it's very practical, very well styled, insurance is quite cheap for an import, Japanese technology.
Bad Points
Could have made one with leather interior as standard... quite expensive to add (£800 + for a good job), finding one that hasn't been thraped to within an inch of it's life
General Comments
The Mitusbishi FTO has outdone itself, for years serving the Japanese, and now, more and more are finding their way on to the British market, this car is just an excellent example of Japanese engineering, if you want speed and power, this has it to spare, if you want luxury and comfort, well, it's all there, a great all rounder, even if you need the space... it's there (well, for a sports car anyway)!! Most commonly found with the triptronic gear box, which is an excellent box, although, make sure you find a good one, as it's expensive to replace/repair, should the need arise... good servicing should aleviate the need though. Ralliart (located in Dudley/West midlands) now do official Mitsubishi services on the FTO as well, although there are many 3rd party FTO specialists out there, and if in doubt, there is always the owners club, which I'm sure many have come to rely on as a source of valued information, and it's definitely worth forking out the extra for the GPX Mivec, as it only costs about 40 pounds extra a year to insure (that's for a 25 y/o with 6 yrs protected no claims, and no endorsements in a big city area) and as far as sports cars go, it's cheap as chips at only 741 pounds to insure... Bonus!
