Good Points

Extremely clean.

Bad Points

Costs in surrounding town and hotel mini mart, also bar playing loud music till 4am over road and traffic noise.

General Comments

I have just returned from Carina Studios in Turkey and thought I would take the time to do a review.
Upon arrival at the studios my first impression is, it is right on a main road in fact THE main road in and out of town .
We were shown to our room and our bags where carried so got to say was impressed there.
The room was basic but very clean and tidy with a great view of the sunsets so again very impressed.
The beds where the typical rock hard bed you get in hotels.
I went down to the hotels minimart to get some bits for the fridge and OH MY GOD !!!
A Twix £1.50 A tin of beans £5 A newspaper £2.75 and the rest was about the same.
There wasn't much stock to talk of really the only good point to it was it was 24 hrs.
If you want aircon in your room it's £25 a week and you also have to give a £20 deposit on your room that you get back when you leave.
I read some reviews on here before I went and saw some mentioning the bar across the road I have to admit I thought being just 30 and 26 my partner and I would not be disturbed by the music and would probably be in the bar ourselves.
I was wrong the bar doesn't start playing music till Midnight and doesn't stop until 4am and that's when nobody is even in it .
You can hear every word of the conversations being had in there.
also being on the main road you had constant sounding of car horns from the mini busses that ferry everyone into and out of town they do this to let you know they are coming in case you want to stop them and do it to every single person they see.
The hotel itself was very clean and they cleaned the bar and pool area daily as well as took pool water samples daily.
Drinks were ok at the bar unless you like Jack Daniels like me that was £5 a shot (ouch)
The hotel is 5 mins walk from a port where cruise ships dock for there passengers to day trip Kussadasi we was told at our welcome meeting not to go shopping when a cruise liner was docked as the prices where put up for tourists at this time. this was nice to know but there was a ship there everyday of the week we was so everything stayed expensive.
I met people round the pool who had been before and couldn't believe the costs in this area now, some taking the same amount as last year and this year having to service using credit cards they took for emergencies.
I went paragliding at ladies beach this was £60 for 2 people double what my brother and his wife paid last year. we did a day out on one of the boats at the harbour they take you to beaches and moore up that was a good day out.
Also ladies beach gets a bit busy it doesn't take very long to visit long beach this is much quieter and more relaxed.
The First Choice rep at the hotel was great she asked if we needed anything else i joked a couple of pillows and some extra hangers within an hour we had them.
There isn't much for kids to do at the hotel just 2 pool tables and the swimming pool I didnt see any sign of kids clubs etc
Anyway I had an ok time but just felt I would let people know it's not as cheap as it used to be so they know what to expect when visiting.
