The rooms were spotless - cleaned & towels changed each day by a maid. (who didn't come too early!!)
Most of the hotel staff were very friendly, even though they couldn't speak much english!
The views from the hotel were amazing! Even though I didn't have a room at the front, but just being able to look across the whole bay while we were sunbathing, or having a drink in the bar was fantastic!
The town wasn't too crowded, or a typical english costa brava resort - although if this is what you were looking for you had the option of getting a taxi to the nearby towns.
Good atmosphere in the hotel - quite a few English people & we all had a laugh together!
Bad Points
The food was quite bad - although if you like pasta, there was the option of that every day. We ate out every night, which didn't bother us as there were plently of restaurants to choose from!
General Comments
I really enjoyed my holiday at the Bellevue Hotel & I would definitely recommend it! Our bedroom & bathroom was spotless - as soon as we walked in we could smell bleach (always a good sign!!) The rooms were cleaned each day & we were given fresh towels.
The pool area was clean & was an ideal suntrap fro those of you that enjoy sunbathing!! Although watch out for the sunbeds that have a habit of collapsing on you!!! ha!
The staff at the hotel couldn't speak much English although they did try to be as helpful as possible!! We also found that if you actually tried to make conversation with them & attempted to speak some Spanish (hello, goodbye, thank you) they really appreciated it!
I agree with the previous comments that the food wasn't very good, so we ate out every night - we didn't find this a problem! There were plently of restaurant in the town of Sant Feliu de Guixols, two I would definitely recommend is Hotdog (not a great name I know), the waiters here were extremely friendly & the food was lovely!! We also found the only English bar in the town called The Retreat, they served gorgeous English food here & the staff were so friendly!!
On the whole we had a fantastic holiday at the Bellevue & I would definitely consider going there again!!!
