Ben.'s review of Alba DVD108

★☆☆☆☆
Alba DVD108

“I found that the 108 Alba which i purchased from Argos...”

Good Points
It's cheep price and sleek silver style, it's free AV cable and remote control with free batteries

Bad Points
It's slow speed, failure to load.

General Comments
I found that the 108 Alba which i purchased from Argos because of its appealing looks and affordability was the worst dvd player i had ever came across.
I was looking for an affordable dvd player which would perform better than my PS2. Put on most ocassions the dvd required to be inserted and re-inserted because of it's inability to load most of my dvds. The only thing it loaded properly were CD's. and i wasn't after a cd player.
So i changed it for a samsung in the end, which works faultlessly

Hate to disagree, but the Alba 108 is a bargain for the price and has utstanding picture quality etc,the reviewer failed to say if the player was replaced or not or failing that were any of her DVD,s dirty ? You see the Alba has an inbuilt code error detector for discs and this would detect some flaws

Got to disagree, bought it myself and it plays all kinds of disk formats, given the right input, and its a cheap buy when you're broke.
