Good Points

This breadmaker is excellent for making a variety of breads, as I have done so for the past 2 years and 5 months, without one bad loaf.

Bad Points

Now that my breadmaker has developed a fault, i.e. the pulse at the beginning of the cycle does not happen, and the motor runs through the whole baking process, but everything else works. It cannot be fixed, even by the maker, as no parts are available for this machine, except for the pan and the paddle.

General Comments

I would have thought that for the price I paid for my Breville BR7L Fast Bake bread making machine, that there would have been some sort of return to maker for repairs outside the warranty period, but as I have only just found out, when it goes wrong, there is no repair facility, then this has to be very poor service.
The BR7l breadmaker has given me excellent service for just over 2 years, with not one bad loaf, and I would have recommend this machine to anybody, but with non-existent service, I am afraid I would advise to go elsewhere, unless you are prepared to throw it away if it goes just outside the warranty. I was reluctant to throw it away, but have tried everywhere to see if such a small fault could be fixed, to no avail.
I now have another breadmaker with a repair facility if it goes wrong after the twelve month warranty, but it is not a Breville.

The after sales for old Breville is still non existent in mid 2007. But they are not terribly interested. Get an other cheaper machine and throw it away when it fails: this is less painful.
