Good Points

The view from the hotel is lovely and the swimming pool is wonderful.


Bad Points

The service is not up to par, in fact, it borders on terrible.


General Comments

We encountered numerous problems on our 6 day (and very expensive) stay at Apanema Resort. The problems ranged from a room that had no where to put ones clothing, an air conditioner that didn't work properly, poor maid service, and worst of all a toilet that continually overflowed along with an owner, who, when confronted for the 3 times, claimed that he "forgot" to fix it. Hearing this, we kindly requested that we be moved to another room. Eventually, we were moved, but the owner never offered any compensation either monetary or otherwise nor did he ever offer a formal apology. In short, this hotel is not worth the money.
