Good Points
Excellent graphics, very good physics, realistic tactics and responses by AI characters, huge map areas with free roaming to explore the environment.
Bad Points
Some very difficult points in the game which can be frustrating.
General Comments
When I bought Far Cry, I was impressed. It was released almost a year before Half-Life 2, and the graphics quality is just as good, except for the computerized people who do not look as life-like as those in HL2. The weapons are all based on real paramilitary/special Ops weapons (like the H&K MP5, and G36, or the M4 carbine). As a lone FPS without having a squad to work with, the first few levels of this game could be a training Sim for special Ops survival in hostile territory. It would have been nice to be able to work with squad members, perhaps the next game based on this engine will do that.
All in all, for the type of game this is, if you like the FPS genre, this is not optional but mandatory for your library.
