Good Points

Close to all local amenities, restaurants and bars, Pefkos beach and a local bus service that takes you to Lindos, Rhodes Town for very little money. Lovely swimming pool and very friendly staff.
The best restaurants were The Coliseum and Terpsis, although if you like steak don't order from the Coliseum. It cost 15 euros for two pieces of steak that looked very much like beefburgers! Their curry and tiramisu however was out of this world, 10 out of 10!

Bad Points

The apartments were not well equipped for self catering. You couldn't possibly cook anything in the so called kitchen area! The air conditioning should have been included in the price as it was always needed with temperatures in excess of 40 degrees! It cost an extra 80 euros for two rooms for the week. Every evening in Pefkos itself, without fail the electricity supply turned itself off which was very annoying when out in a local restaurant having a meal and when your meal arrives it is stone cold! The owner was obsessed with getting as much money out of his guests as he possibly could! His face lit up when you produced euros!!

General Comments

I found Pefkos a very enjoyable place for a holiday although the actual resort was not for children, as there were not enough going on for them. It is ideal for couples. Lindos and Rhodes were nice places to visit. If I went back I think I would hire a car to get around the Island a lot more. The beach at Palm Bay Hotel left a lot to be desired as it was littered and dirty and not a place for sunbathing. But from the places I visited I think if I went back there I would still stay in Pefkos rather than Lindos or Rhodes Town. It was nice at night visiting the different restaurants and cocktail bars, all the restaurants had lovely settings. I would definitely recommend it to friends.

I stayed at the hotel next to Palm Bay three years ago and my family used Palm Bay facilities every day. This was because the Koralli was very busy and some waiters were over the top with their drinking. We enjoyed the Palm Bay so much that last year we actually stayed there for two weeks. I found the Hotel, owner and staff brilliant. The owner, Michalis, was always happy to see us. There were nights when myself and two teenagers would stay up very late playing pool and we were never asked to leave or made to feel it was time to go to bed. On the day we left most of the staff came to see us off and there was genuine disappointment that we were leaving. Although they may have forgot us quickly I am sure when we return we will be welcomed with open arms and friendship will be quickly re-established. It is expensive with paying for air conditioning as this is an added charge from spending money. It would be better to add the charge to the holiday price and have the use of this all the time. As for Rhodes I love it and I will be returning.
