Stunning by day or night. Wonderful sized rooms, with all mod cons.
Food.
Lack of sunbed availability. The beds should not be available until the pool is open at approx 8.30am, and then one per person, not one person bagging 4 with towels at 7am in the morning.
The Victoria Palace Hotel, Sunny Beach, Bulgaria, does have the wow factor to look at. We had a fantastic room overlooking the beach and pool. The maids were very helpful, bringing extra coat hangers, pillows and sheets, which were missing from our 4 bedded apartment. The apartment was very spacious. The fridge was very handy, and the apartment had an enormous bathroom.
I could not believe the state of the cups/mugs offered for tea/coffee at breakfast. A definite health hazard. Hot food which was cold, particularly if enjoying waiter service in the restaurant. It is the left over food from the buffet. My husband had food poisoning, and was ill on the flight home, as were many others.
No chance of getting a bed by the pool after 7.30am. There is a siege mentality over beds by the Brits, which I was quite ashamed of. Get a life, or go to the Majestic next door, where you get served with drinks by the pool, and they are happy to see you, as they have only just opened and don't have many guests. The Majestic has 2 fantastic sized pools, which you can really swim in.
Great hotel, but go for room only.
