Good Points

Low Cost, On-Board Audio & 10/100 Network Adapter. SDRAM Aswell AS DDR SDRAM Support. Universal AGP 2x/4x Support.

Bad Points

Some are defective when purchased, and do not hold bios Settings. Not overclockable, no CPU/DDR voltage adjustments.

General Comments

In my experience, having built 8 PCs with this board..it's very reliable and cost-effective and provides a viable alternative to ABIT or ASUS products. However I have experienced problems with some holding BIOS settings, or turning off without notice. Returned for an exchange at the store from which I purchased it without any problems. Extremely compatible with existing hardware, unlike the VIA Chipsets and their Creative labs incompatibilities. All in all, very respectable product..

I.m a computer newbie, and I need your help because the ECS support is a joke. Brought a ESC k7s5a pro with AMD Duron 1.3 last week, all standard setup, with the using of on-board sound which is BAD... Now I try to put back my old Creative SoundBlaster CT3600 sound card. Question, how do I disable my on-board sound, and should my Window98 SE recogize the creative sound card without me download the driver??

Why did you give it 5 stars if it's got so many cons?
