Frank Grundin.'s review of Sony Ericsson P800

“After two weeks I'm still more and more pleased for...”

Good Points
This is a phone that has almost everything, that's it.

I like the GUI, the big touch screen display (can amazingly be used as a flashlight when it's dark) and the Jog Dial button, very useful.

Bad Points
No FM radio.

The camera does not show the "target" on the screen when it's cold (minus degrees), when so it can be tricky to get a picture right on target.

The chess AI could be better.

General Comments
After two weeks I'm still more and more pleased for each day, that since I each day find new interesting and useful functions.

I like the design of the "phone" (it's so much more than a phone), the manuvearibility in the GUI is very easy to understand. The (I think Sony) Jog Dial button make it possible to do almost everything without touching the numbers or the display.

The touch screen make it possible to have the "phone" as a Palm (calendar) and actually the P800 support what I know so far everything that a Palm has, writing is similar, meetings, tasks and so on is supported.

The games are fun but not so many, but that's is what I think is just a matter of time before it's possible to download other ones.

I also like the way how files are copied from the stationary PC over to the P800. Just do as always, 'Click and drag' the file from say "D:music to the P800:memorystick folder and listen to your favorite Scooter mp3-song. When 'Waiting for Spring and the 'Endless summer' I see forward to use the camera sitting on the baech taking some pictures and then send them to my working friends on the office ;-)
